Mauna

15 min | Lithuania | 2025

When the mother of four children goes on vacation for the first time, she does not encounter a wonderful natural landscape, but the inconvenience of being without family, household and children, in which she discovers the need to hear herself.

DIRECTOR'S NOTE

Having spent a long time alone raising five children and searching for answers to why, even nowadays, mothers separate themselves from the world in this way, drowning themselves in motherhood and unable to separate their identity from the family aggregator who takes as much as he gives. And mothers know how to give.

But do you know how to hear yourself in that constant roaring chaos?

With this film, I want to invite yourself to MAUNA – a conscious retreat into silence.
